Statistical Classifications UNCEISC


The United Nations Committee of Experts on International Statistical Classifications (UNCEISC) is the central coordination body for the work on international statistical classifications that are the responsibility of the Statistics Division, and for the coordination and review of other international statistical classifications that are the responsibility of other international organizations and that have been proposed for adoption by the Statistical Commission.
The UNCEISC was established by the Statistical Commission (E/2021/24-E/CN.3/2021/30, Decision 52/113) in March 2021. It was previously known as the Expert Group on International Statistical Classifications.

Mandate

Active Task Teams

The Expert Group has the following active Task Teams (previously known as Technical Subgroups): the Task Team on the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (TT-ISIC), and the Task Team on the Central Product Classification (TT-CPC).

The following Technical Subgroups are no longer active after their mandates were completed.

Meetings

The UNCEISC meets regularly to review progress made on classifications developments and revisions, assess current implementations and set priorities for future classifications work.
