Development of international trade and technology
Major Changes:
UN/LOCODE directory is published biannually instead of annually since 2000. UN/LOCODE was renamed after Code for Trade and Transport Locations instead of Code for Ports and Other Locations in 2001. UN/LOCODE directories are published on UNECE website in formats of .txt, .mdb, .csv and HTML instead of distributing disks since 2002. Launch of UN/LOCODE Data Maintenance Request System to enable registered users to submit online requests for new codes and modification since 2004.
Corrections:
The directories are published twice per year and the secretariat note is issued together with each UN/LOCODE release.
