Reason for Latest Revision:
In general, revision is made according to the request from the CWP participating organizations (i.e. members). After the adoption ofThe United Nations Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks (UNFSA), CWP continued its discussion to revise them in accordance with UNFSA requirement without conclusion. Currently ISSCFV is mainly utilized in vessel registration, not for statistical purpose.
Major Changes:
change from the Oslo convention to the London Convention (in force from July 1994 for vessels > 24 meters in length)
