Explanatory note
This class includes production of cane or beet sugar: raw cane sugar, refined cane or beet sugar, syrup made of beet or cane sugar, other sugars and sugar syrups (e.g. maple sugar, invert sugar, palm sugar). Molasses production.
Exclusion: Manufacture of glucose and other sugars made from starches is classified in class 1532 (Manufacture of starches and starch products).
Integrated gathering of sap and the production of maple syrup and sugar on the farm is classified in class 0112 (Growing of vegetables, horticultural specialties and nursery products).
