Explanatory note
The manufacture, alteration and repair of woodworking and metal-working machinery, such as machinery for sawmills, planing mills, furniture makers and veneer workers; lathes, boring, drilling, milling, grinding, shearing and shaping machines; power saws and sanders; drop forges and other forging machines; rolling mills, presses and drawing machines; extruding, melting and non-electrical welding machines; and machine tool cutters, dies and jigs. The manufacture of attachments and accessories for woodworking and metal-working machines is included. Excluded is the manufacture of electric welding equipment (classified in group 3831), and hand tools for wood and metal working that are not power driven (classified in group 3811).
