United Nations Statistical Commission

The side event will introduce the new United Nations National Quality Assurance Frameworks Manual for Official Statistics (UN NQAF Manual). The Manual was developed by the Expert Group on National Quality Assurance Frameworks (EG-NQAF) to support countries in the development and implementation of a national quality assurance framework for official statistics. The event will discuss possible activities by countries and regional and international organizations to achieve and support implementation. Hereby, the side event will inform the work program and further activities of the Expert Group. The meeting will be chaired by the co-Chairs of EG-NQAF, Dr. Lisa Grace Bersales of the Philippine Statistics Authority and Mr. Ryan Chepita of Statistics Canada. Paul Austin of the IMF Statistics Department will be joinging the panel discussion on implementation.
