A Side Event at the United Nations Statistical Commission

  • The side event is organized by the Expert Group on National Quality Assurance Frameworks. A brief introduction to the work of the Expert Group, including to the United Nations Quality Assurance Frameworks Manual for Official Statistics (Manual) and plans going forward will be followed by a regional case study on the implementation of a national quality assurance framework. The main agenda item will be a dialogue on quality assurance of new data sources. Practitioners will reveal their lessons learned during a questions and answer session. The side event is linked to the Commission's agenda item 4(i) Report of the Expert Group on National Quality Assurance Frameworks1 and will provide an opportunity for an informal discussion.
