Methodology
Quality Assurance Meetings and Events
The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), in collaboration with the Government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) through the National Bureau of Statistics of China, and with support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe is organizing the “International Workshop on the implementation of NQAF and GSBPM” in China, from 10 – 11 January 2022 as a virtual event for international participants.
This Workshop is part of the efforts to develop and implement a national quality assurance framework for official statistics for participating countries, mainly from Asia and the Pacific region. As a statistical capacity development project, it will introduce the application of the national quality assurance framework (NQAF) and the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM), together with the experience and lessons learned of countries, in order to promote their implementation throughout the national statistical systems of countries.
The workshop will give an introduction to the United Nations National Quality Assurance Framework and the guidance for implementation contained in the United Nations National Quality Assurance Frameworks Manual for Official Statistics. Furthermore, the workshop will provide an introduction to GSBPM and its implementation. Country case studies and examples will allow participants to share their practices and to learn from the experience of other countries.
