Overview

The third meeting of the Webinar Series on the Global Initiative on Unique Identifiers for Businesses will provide a platform for business registration stakeholders and the national statistical offices to consider a concrete set of actions to strengthen the management of national unique identifiers for businesses in countries, the mapping to globally unique identifiers, and the access for statistical purposes to this information by National Statistical Offices for developing and maintaining Statistical Business Registers.

Roundtable discussions The panel will address some of the biggest challenges faced by organization for the management of national unique identifiers for businesses in countries, and the access to this information by National Statistical Offices for developing and maintaining Statistical Business Registers. The panel will also discuss how to the Global Initiative on Unique Identifiers for Businesses could help to address these challenges and improving the linkage of business records for statistical purpose, also from the perspective of data used in the international supply chains relevant for the trade statistics.
