Homonyms
(#130) are differentiated in the names index by adding generic
(Panamá (country) vs Panamá (city)) or locational
attributes.
Take Santiago for instance, a geographical name current in many
Spanish-speaking countries. It is differentiated by adding either
the location or some other attribute:
- Santiago (Chile)
- Santiago de Compostela
- Santiago de Cuba
- Santiago del Estero
- Santiago (Dominican Republic)
- Santiago (Philippines)
Or:
- San Francisco and
- San Francisco, Bay of. (Illustration
