In addition to organizing individual capacity-building events, UNSD manages a number of capacity-development projects. These projects typically span a period of multiple years and combine activities of a different nature, such as:

• Workshops
• Direct country assistance
• Development of training or guidance materials
• Inter-country coordination efforts
• Establishing of specialized networks
• Study visits

These different activities are coordinated to support the specific target of the project.

Such projects can be funded through UN-internal processes, such as the UN Development Account, or they can be funded and initiated by external donors.
