SDG Indicators

Data collection Information & Focal points

At its 48th session in March 2017, the UN Statistical Commission kindly requested custodian agencies to provide a list of national entities which provide data to the international system and to share their data collection calendars (i.e. periodicity of the data collection). To fulfil this request, custodian agencies provided information on their data collection processes and also nominated a focal point for each of the indicators concerning questions on definitions, methods of computation, data or other issues.

The information provided for the data collection processes and focal points is contained in this webpage and can be downloaded in an Excel file. Please note:

  • Some indicators only provide focal point information. For those indicators, there will not be a download option.
  • For some indicators, additional information regarding the process of data collection is provided in a separate tab.

Zip file containing all Excel files with data collection information and focal points is available here.

For any questions about a particular indicator (definition, method of computation, etc.), please kindly contact the focal point for the indicator.
