Population registers

The United Nations Statistics Division collects statistics from population registers through five Demographic Yearbook questionnaires. These are the Population Estimates Questionnaire, the Vital Statistics Questionnaire, the Population Census Questionnaire, the Population Census Questionnaire on Economic Characteristics and the Population Census Questionnaire on Household Characteristics.
