ABOUT

The Oslo Group on energy statistics is a city group created in 2005 by the United Nations Statistical Commission to address methodological issues related to energy statistics and contribute to improved international standards and improved methods for official energy statistics. To achieve this, the Oslo Group develops tools, processes and networks to support countries to collect and disseminate complete, comparable, reliable and timely energy statistics. It reports to the United Nations Statistical Commission on a regular basis. This website is maintained by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), a division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA).
