Winners

17 teams hacked their way through the 4 days of the first AIS Hackathon on the UN Global Platform. Each team armed with an individual Apache Spark cluster with 1,280GB of RAM and 320 CPUs against 3.6 Terabytes of AIS UN Global Platform data. We are very excited to announce the winners!

For more information, see this blog post by UN Global Pulse as well as the Data innovation in official statistics - "Road to Bern" webinar where the top two overall teams gave a presentation.

Thank you to all participants, all nine jury members of the AIS Task Team, and all staff of the United Nations Statistics Division, CCRi, UNCTAD, and UN Global Pulse who were supporting the event. A blog post outlining the achievements of the winning teams will be made available shortly. And we will hopefully see you all next year for the next Hackathon on the UN Global Platform.
