The portrait of these ‘average’ Britons has been drawn up by officials to mark the first World Statistics Day next Wednesday. The figures from the Office for National Statistics also reveal that they like the odd tipple. Typically, men consume 16 units of alcohol a week while women down eight units. And most typical Britons don’t rush into marriage.
