2009 Final worldwide consultation on draft of revised MSITS

A final worldwide consultation documents including the draft chapters of the manual and a questionnaire is being conducted July - September 2009.

A first worldwide consultation document and questionnaire was sent out April 2006 to all the member countries of the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well as to interested international organisations.

2002 Manual on Statistics of Interational Trade in Services (MSITS) published

This first Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services was prepared by the Interagency Task Force on Statistics of International Trade in Services (TFSITS) authorised by the Statistical Commission of the United Nations to meet the needs of a variety of producers and users of trade data but in particular the needs of the General Agreement of Trade in Services (GATS). GATS categorises trade in services according to four modes of supply - cross border, consumption abroad, commercial presence and presence of natural persons.
