Correlation table of the HS02 to SITC, Rev.3
A correlation table (HS02S3) of the Harmonized Commodity Description
and Coding System, 2002 version, (HS02) to the Standard International
Trade Classification, Revision 3 (SITC, Rev.3) has been prepared
by the United Nations Statistics Division to assist countries in
conversion of trade data compiled in terms of the HS02 to the SITC,
Rev.3.
The correlation table can be downloaded in the following formats:

- Column "HS02" contains all 5224 six-digit codes of the HS02.
- Column "HS~History" indicates the year when a code was introduced
into the HS.
- Column "SITC, R3" contains the SITC, Revision 3 codes to which
the HS02 codes are correlated.
- Column "CorrNotes" provides information regarding the SITC,
Rev.3 codes listed in the "SITC, R3" column as follows:
- R3 a basic code whose scope entirely includes the scope
of the corresponding HS subheading;
- R3F a basic code whose scope partially includes the scope
of the corresponding HS subheading;
- R3A a higher level code whose scope entirely includes the
scope of the corresponding HS subheading;
- R3AF a higher level code whose scope partially includes
the scope of the corresponding HS subheading;
- I and II: the HS codes not correlated with the SITC, Rev.3.
Counts of labels in "HS~History" and "CorrNotes" columns are given
in the table below.

102 basic SITC, Rev. 3 codes are not correlated with the HS02 (76
of these are not correlated with HS96 either) due to significant changes
in the HS classification criteria as compared with the original HS88.
