Collection and Publication
- Detailed trade data collection. Trade data are collected from about
200 countries or areas and stored in various databases. For example,
the branch maintains the worlds most comprehensive database on
trade by commodity and partner country, called UN Comtrade which is
made available to the public on the Internet. Dissemination of Comtrade
is done via the International Trade Statistics Yearbook and the Statistical
Yearbook.
- Other collections. The following aggregated data and indices are collected
and made available via Monthly Bulletin of Statistics, Yearbooks, and
on-line.
- Aggregated trade data. Values of total exports, total imports
as well as exports of manufactured goods and imports of fuel.
- Index numbers. The index numbers of unit value/price, and volume
(quantum) of total exports, total imports as well as exports of
manufactured goods and imports of fuel.
