Technical note |
The money supply table shows “Money” and “Reserve money” under the traditional presentation of the International Financial Statistics (IFS), and “Broad money liabilities” and “Monetary base” under its new presentation of monetary statistics.
The liabilities of the monetary system in currency and demand deposits to the domestic private sector are reflected under “Money” in the traditional presentation and under “Broad money liabilities” in the new presentation.
The liabilities of the monetary authorities in currency and demand deposits to deposit money banks and the domestic private sector are reflected under “Reserve money” in the traditional presentation and under “Monetary base” in the new presentation.
