Global CensusInfo is an application of CensusInfo implemented by the UNSD presenting data from national censuses from around the world. Global CensusInfo serves as an example of how to use CensusInfo for the dissemination of census data. The Global CensusInfo database is based on census data drawn from the Demographic Yearbook System (DYB) of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD). The indicators used in the application are taken from the suggested list of indicators (except where the nature of the existing data made modifications necessary) developed by UNSD and distributed as part of the CensusInfo package. The current version 1.0 of the database provides data from the 2000 round of Population and Housing Censuses for selected indicators on geographic characteristics and demographic and social characteristics. More indicators and data from the ongoing 2010 round of censuses will be added as data get available and processed.
