Joint Task Team on Global Facilitation of Access to Privately-held Data for Official Statistics
Data Access Sprint
Jan - Mar 2022
Virtual
The Sprint will be organized from the perspective of concrete use cases.
Several topics where global value chains come into play have been preselected:
- international trade in clothing
- coffee and tea
- electronics
- horticultural products
- (B2C) e-commerce
These use cases are expected to be relevant for a wide array of statistical institutes globally and they address topics that are of significant interest for users of economic statistics. Moreover, it is believed that the use of privately held data sources provides clear benefits, in addition to more traditional statistical sources, in each of these cases.
