UNSD/UNEP/ECOWAS Workshop


The United Nations Statistics Division, in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), organized a Workshop on Environment Statistics that took place from 19 to 23 May 2008 at ECOWAS headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Workshop trained representatives from national statistical offices and ministries of environment or equivalent institutions from the ECOWAS region on environmental statistics and indicators as one of the follow-up activities to the UNSD/ECOWAS project.
