The Demographic Yearbook 2003 provides official national population statistics,
for over 230 countries and areas in the world. Published
annually, since 1948, when the system was established,
the Demographic Yearbook consists of a regular
issue that provides statistics on population size and
composition, fertility, mortality, infant and foetal mortality,
marriage and divorce as well as special
topic issues.
