COVID-19

Participants attending the IFMS 2023 in person will not need to show proof of vaccination to enter the ECLAC premises. It is recommended, but not required or monitored, that participants are fully vaccinated, according to the vaccination policies from the countries they are traveling from.

The Occupational Safety and Health Committee at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will continue monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will provide risk assessments and advice that might change the above guidelines. These assessments are based, in turn, on host city and host country guidance, the stage of the plan for the return to on-site work in the ECLAC headquarters complex, and the risks posed by the pandemic to participants at any given time.

Travelers are advised to read the latest travel requirements for entry to Chile, namely, the Protected Border Plan (Plan de Fronteras Protegidas) at https://www.chile.travel/en/traveltochileplan/ before travelling.
