Statistical agencies all over the world are facing increased demands to operate more efficiently, respond more rapidly to changing users' needs, exploit data more effectively and improve statistical quality. This lunchtime seminar will present the key outcomes from the recent Conference on Modernization of Statistical Production organized by the Statistics Sweden as well as the experiences of two statistical offices, those of New Zealand and United Kingdom, which have embarked on extensive programmes of production modernization.
