Like in other data source such as census, survey and administrative data, MPD should also be processed by cleaning and validating them, with the objective of ensuring their quality when used as official statistics. Some of the cleaning and validating processes are:
- Detection and removal of duplicates;
- Detection of missing data;
- Validation of antennae locations;
- Assignment of unique identifiers for antennae; and
Removal of non-human data;
