Richard Delaney has extensive experience in the development of solutions that leverage data to advance public policy objectives. Working with government agencies, universities, nongovernmental organizations, and consulting firms, Richard has consistently implemented innovative approaches for: collecting and analyzing underutilized data to yield policy-relevant insights; designing processes and systems to make data more accessible; developing policy-makers ' capacity for data-driven decision-making; and incorporating data into communications materials that persuasively build support for specific policy proposal. Richard currently works at Vital Strategies (an international public health organization) on the Data Impact program, a multi-year effort to encourage best practices in data use in public health ministries that is part of the Bloomberg Data for Health Initiative. Richard has a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University, as well as graduate certificates in Data Mining (University of California-San Diego) and in Geographic Information Systems and Technologies (University of Southern California).
