Omar Seidu is a social statistician with over 17 years combined experience in data collection, data analysis, technical report writing, and dissemination. He has extensive expertise in survey sampling, design of survey instruments and implementation of sample surveys. Omar is a statistics instructor, a Fellow of the Sampling Programme for Survey Statisticians and a member of the IAEG-SDGs.
Omar coordinates data for monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana and currently championing data innovation, multi-stakeholder approach to data production and utilization and the building of robust administrative data system. He is not only passionate about strengthening the entire data ecosystem, but also the uptake of evidence in decision making.
