Biography
Dr. Lina Salanauskaite is a researcher at the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), where she joined in 2016. EIGE supports the EU and its Member States in promoting gender equality, fighting discrimination based on sex and raising awareness about gender equality issues. Prior to EIGE, Lina Salanauskaite worked in the EU Commission, DG Employment and also across a few academic institutions. Lina Salanauskaite holds a double PhD in Social Economics and Social Sciences from Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and Antwerp University (Belgium) and has an extensive research experience in the analysis of socio-economic issues, including gender equality and social inclusion trends, effectiveness of social protection policies or labour market development.
