Biography
Iliana Vaca-Trigo is a Statistics and Computer Science Engineer from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in Ecuador. She obtained a Master's degree and pursued doctoral studies in Statistics at the Iowa State University. She currently leads the research and statistics area of ECLAC's Division for Gender Affairs in Santiago, Chile. Her main areas of work include the analysis of household and time use surveys and the development and dissemination of gender indicators and statistics for Latin America and the Caribbean. She has worked as Statistician in ECLAC's Division for Gender Affairs in Santiago and in the United Nations Statistics Division in New York.
