Statistical Literacy Initatives Inventory

Purpose: The purpose of this initiative is to disseminate information produced by IBGE to three specific publics: children, teenagers and teachers. The approach to content is educational, thus bringing statistics and geoscientific data in a ludic and simple way. For teachers, there is a special concern with the use of the NSOs production for classrrom work.

Mode of implementation: The initiative counts on a platform for free consumption of information, but also includes initiatives such as visiting schoools, promoting encounters with teachers and also ludic meetings with children and youngsters for them to get used to the NOS as a reliable source of official information about their country.

Outcomes: Teachers form several schools have connected with IBGE and reported the use of the material in their classrooms.
