The Global Statistical Geospatial Framework

The Global Statistical Geospatial Framework is a Framework for the world that provides an underlying mechanism to integrate statistical and geospatial information. The Global Statistical Geospatial Framework takes a range of data from a range of sources within the statistical and geospatial communities and through the application of its five principles and supported by key elements, this information is integrated to produce harmonised and standardised geospatially enabled statistical data that can inform and facilitate data-driven decision making, including the production of indicators, comparisons within and between countries, increased information at smaller geographies, and generally more efficient production of information. This ultimately enables improved decision-making for local and national development priorities and global agendas such as the 2020 Round of Population and Housing census and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This is the implementation guide of the GSGF and focuses on how to implement the five guiding principles of the GSGF.
