Large Sample Survey for the Retail Trade in South Africa. The survey is conducted once every five years by Statistics South Africa. It enquires about the Retail trade industries in South Africa. Results of the survey are used to measure the performance of the economy. These results are used by government to develop and monitor policy. The private sector also uses these statistics in analyses of comparative business and industry performance.
