WSD Jingle livens up the celebration in Papua New Guinea
30 September 2010 -- The National Statistical Office in Papua New Guinea http://www.nso.gov.pg/ has written and
recorded a special pop jingle to celebrate World Statistics Day.
This song reflects the high level of enthusiasm generated by WSD in this country of the Pacific Region. The WSD jingle will be officially introduced, along with a 2011 Census jingle,
during a special dinner on 19 October for which 300 guests are expected. An official ceremony to mark WSD is also planned the following day with a speech by the Minister for National Planning,
contemporary music (including the WSD jingle), traditional dances and a traditional Mumu feast
