UNICEF joins forces with Barbados NSO to celebrate WSD
27 September 2010 -- Like several other countries of the region, the Barbados Statistical Service is planning several events that will integrate both CARICOM Statistics Day (15 October) and World Statistics Day, with activities such as a technical seminar on national accounts, a church service and a jingle award for high school kids. On WSD (20 October), regional representative
Tom Olsen of UNICEF will participate in several activities including briefing students from various schools
(in an auditorium) on his agency’s statistical work to track progress toward achieving Millennium Development Goals in areas that have direct impact on children’s
lives.
