UNdata wins 2010 UN21 Award
29 July 2010 -- The UN Statistics Division received a 2010 UN21 Award in the category “Improvements in Client Services”.
The UN 21 Awards were established in 1996 to recognize outstanding achievements by UN staff members or teams. UNdata is
a unique service which provides, through a single entry point (http://data.un.org/), free access to 32 UN databases.
Since its 2008 launch, UNdata has reached nearly six million visitors. UNdata was very positively reviewed by specialized
media such as CNET-TV, PC magazine and Library Journal. UNdata plans to provide access to 192 national statistical
databases in addition to UN agencies databases. It is the third time since 2004 that a UN21 prize is awarded to the UN
Statistics Division.
