Executive Director, International Disability Alliance
Vladimir Cuk currently serves as Executive Director of the International Disability Alliance (IDA), holding this position since 2013. Vladimir is responsible for coordinating the IDA Secretariat, the IDA advocacy towards the UN System, UN agencies, the World Bank, and other international human rights organizations. In particular, Vladimir is responsible -- in cooperation with the IDA Chair and Board -- for the development of strategies around the CRPD Committee and other treaty bodies, the 2030 development agenda and inter-governmental processes. He was IDA 's Head of New York Secretariat between 2011 and 2013. Vladimir holds a MS in Disability Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago (received seven awards in recognition for his academic achievements, published a book, several articles and encyclopedia entries).
