Sabrina Juran has been working with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since 2008 and assumed her position as Senior Technical Specialist, Population Census and Geospatial Data in 2018. During her career at the Fund, Juran has worked in all major areas of the field of sociology and demography. Within her capacity as Technical Specialist she works on supporting countries in conducting statistical exercises (population and housing censuses, demographic and health surveys, etc.) and new innovations in the area of geospatial data, digitization and communication, particularly developing capacity for the utilizing and integration of geospatial data in population data systems. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany; her research focused on the impact of international migration on human development.
