Mohammad Raafi Hossain is an entrepreneurial-minded strategist with a strong execution track record of building scalable platforms at both the public and private sector levels. Possessing a diverse background, he has worked on global solutions that have addressed a variety of domains ranging from climate change to fintech.
Mohammad is currently an Advisor to the UAE Prime Minister’s Office where he advises across several portfolios including the World Government Summit and Artificial Intelligence.
Previously, he founded Finocracy, a boutique research and development firm that specializes on cutting edge solutions that blend ethical finance and technology. Prior to that, Mohammad worked for the United Nations across several MENA countries in the fields of agriculture and environmental management.
For his efforts, Mohammad has been awarded the 2015 Ethical Finance Initiative Challenge Award from Thomson Reuters and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank for a micro-finance fintech platform, that was later acquired. He also was awarded the 2016 Social Innovation Award from the Cambridge Global Good Governance Committee for an innovative humanitarian aid solution, Human Crescent.
Mohammad has a background in Economics and Sustainable Development from the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard University.
