Head of the Division "Trade related Development Cooperation", the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
Daniela Zehentner-Capell is Head of the Division "Trade related Development Cooperation" at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) since 2013. The unit is in charge of the strategic direction of the German Aid for Trade and the implementation of some of its areas including quality infrastructure, trade facilitation and e-commerce. Additionally, it is responsible for issues on technological transfer in the context of the Agenda 2030 and for promoting an informed debate about more sustainability in trade at the multilateral level. Daniela Zehentner-Capell has been in various leading positions at the BMZ since 2010. Before joining the BMZ she held different advisory functions in the German Parliament with a focus on development cooperation and education.
Daniela Zehentner-Capell is a lawyer. She graduated from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm-University in Bonn with a focus on International and European Law as well as International Organisations.
