Ms Beata SUSZTEROVA is Head of the Statistical cooperation unit within the Economic and Financial Governance Department of Expertise France based in Paris.
Ms SUSZTEROVA, Hungarian born, Slovak native speaker, holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Management of Public Administration from the University of Presov, Slovakia and a Master degree in European Studies from the University of Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris, France.
In 2007, she joined Adetef, the public cooperation agency for international technical cooperation within the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, which since has merged with other ministries ' public technical cooperation agencies to become Expertise France in 2015. The agency has a privilege relation with INSEE, the French Official Statistics Institute.
Through her position in the Statistical Cooperation Unit, Ms SUSZTEROVA participated from start in the management of large scale statistical regional assistance projects aiming at enhancing partners ' national statistical capacities. Starting with the Mediterranean region, she extended her direct involvement in regional statistics project with Africa and South-East Asia.
Through her 12 working years in the Cooperation/Assistance domains, she established extended professional relationships with statistical partners from the European Union, East and South European Neighbourhood countries, the statistical divisions of the ASEAN Secretariat and of the African Union. She has an in-depth knowledge of the European Statistical System and of the institutions which are involved with it.
She was appointed Head of the Statistical Cooperation Unit of Expertise France in January 2016.
Currently the unit Ms Suszterova is heading is implementing several regional cooperation projects: the 4th phase of the EU-Mediterranean statistical cooperation programme ‘MEDSTAT ', ‘COMPASS ' in South East Asia and the first regional statistical project ‘PAS ' in Africa. Her unit also manages two statistical projects funded by the French government: the project ‘SODDA ' having Afristat and the regional statistical schools located in Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Senegal for its direct beneficiaries, and a project on business registers in Palestine.
For the last 5 years Ms SUSZTEROVA has been an invited lecturer on development aid and tender procedures within the Department of European Studies of the University of Sorbonne in Paris.
