Program Officer, Open Society Justice Initiative
Based in the London office, Aidan Harris is a program officer for the Open Society Justice Initiative.
Formerly a policy analyst with the Open Society Foundations’ International Advocacy Office, since 2013 he has worked on the Open Society Foundations ' effort to secure the inclusion of access to justice in the UN 's Sustainable Development Goals, and works with the legal empowerment team in ensuring effective implementation of access to justice.
Before joining the Open Society Foundations, Harris worked with the UK Labour Party for four years as a policy advisor, specializing in EU and foreign policy. He has prior experience with the UN Institute for Disarmament Research, the OSCE mission in Kyrgyzstan, as a grants consultant in Mongolia, and with the Royal Society for Asian Affairs.
Harris studied at the University of Wales, Cambridge University, and the College of Law, London.
