THE POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT AGENDA AND INPUTS FROM CIVIL SOCIETY
AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS
See recorded webcast of this event:
Monday, 20 April 2015 1:15PM to 2:30PM at Conference Room 6
Brief description
This side event will be an interactive dialogue between the United Nations
Statistics Division and representatives of civil society and other stakeholders
on the next steps for the preparation of the Indicators Framework for the
post-2015 development agenda.
In advance of the first meeting of the Inter-Agency and Expert Group meeting
on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs), this event aims to
provide a live forum on inputs from civil society to the discussion on the
preparation of SDG indicators and possible next steps.
It is understood that the work plan of the IAEG-SDGs will only be launched
once the group meets for the first time, on 1-2 June 2015. Therefore the
discussion on next steps is based on what is expected at the moment and
may undergo changes. However, written inputs to the group are already
being collected online, in order to be compiled and submitted for the
consideration of the IAEG-SDGs.
