Abstract

This textbook provides simple numerical examples and exercises to facilitate understanding and allow the learner to apply the conceptual framework in a practical way. Its purpose is to: 1. Explain the extended conceptual framework in national accounts, mainly supply and use balancing, QNA, regional accounts and the non-observed economy. 2. Give examples of the extended conceptual framework within the South African context. 3. Provide short activities ensuring the conceptual framework has been understood.
