Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics
This revised Manual is an update of the Manual for the Development of Criminal Justice Statistics published in 1986 (Series F, No.43; Sales No. E.86.XVII.16). It sets out an updated general framework for the development of a system of criminal justice statistics. The Manual has eight chapters:

4. Collecting

addition of an Annex that highlights some practical issues related to
the design and creation of a sound data collection system. The Annex
includes the following sections: A. Key design issues in the collection of crime statistics B. Examples of police sector information reporting C. Examples of court information reporting D. Examples of correctional information reporting E. Sample offence classification and offence scoring rule F. Examples of data analysis and presentation
