Demographic and Social Statistics

Climate change statistics is often considered gender-neutral, and the intersection between environmental conditions and gender has often been overlooked. Building on the guidance note on mainstreaming gender into climate change statistics, this webinar aims to raise awareness among data producers and users about the need to address data gaps at the intersection of gender and climate change, thus fostering dialogue and offering a space to communicate and articulate the relevance of carrying out activities jointly involving gender statisticians and environmental and climate change statisticians. In addition, the webinar will present recent experiences of countries on integrating gender perspectives into climate change statistics.
