Overview

The 19th Meeting of the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on Gender Statistics (IAEG-GS) will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 30 September 2025. The meeting, which is closed and by invitation only, will be attended by gender statistics experts representing international, regional, and national institutions that are part of the IAEG-GS. The meeting will review the progress of the IAEG-GS Advisory Group in responding to the Statistical Commission's request to integrate a gender perspective into its work, including ongoing initiatives to mainstream a gender perspective into climate change statistics. It will also showcase national efforts to close data gaps in monitoring gender equality and feature updates from Regional Commissions and international agencies on their current initiatives to strengthen gender statistics.
