Vasil Tsakadze serves as Head of the Social Statistics Department at National Statistics Office of Georgia. He led the implementation of Georgia's second national violence against women survey in 2022. This survey generated internationally comparable data on violence against women and filled gaps in gender statistics, particularly for SDG indicator reporting. At GEOSTAT, he oversees the comprehensive gender data portal and the annual "Women and Men" statistical publication, both featuring dedicated sections on women's economic empowerment and other key gender indicators. His work contributes to strengthening Georgia's capacity to produce high-quality, disaggregated gender statistics that inform policy responses to gender inequality and violence against women.
