Marine (Maia) Mindorashvili, Academic Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic and Social Statistics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. In 1988, she defended her PhD dissertation on the topic: "Methodology of statistical assessment of the industrial potential of a region (on the example of the Georgian SSR)". She has been teaching at TSU since 1986. In 1988-2005 - Senior Lecturer and Docent. Since 2006, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic and Social Statistics at TSU. In 2001-2004 - Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Statistics, in 2005-2009 - Deputy Head of the Methodology, Coordination and Standardisation Division of the Department of Statistics of the Ministry of Economic Development. In 2009-2010, she served as an adviser in the office of the Executive Director of the National Statistical Service of Georgia and was the secretary of the Geostat Council. Additionally, from 2006 to 2010, she lectured on statistics and macroeconomics in both Georgian and English at various higher education institutions at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She is a participant in many grant projects. She is fluent in English and Russian, as well as various statistical and computer programs. She has published numerous monographs, articles, textbooks and lecture courses on the system of national accounts, legal statistics, economic statistics, gender statistics and e.t. From 2018 to the present - member of the Council of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in 2016-20 - member of the Academic Council of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, in 2017-18 - member of the Advisory Council of Geostat, in 2017-21 - member of the Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business, since 2017 - member of the editorial board of the Department of Economic and Social Statistics, from 2014 to 2024 - head of the Consulting and Research Laboratory of Statistics of TSU.
